The Beauty of Podcasts
Podcasts are such an amazing way to get your mind off life or even think about life a little bit more What's funny is that you can do either. Plus, many podcasts now are ones that you can watch and that are being recorded not just to listen to but to also see on your screen. One that comes to mind immediately is the New Heights Podcast by Jason and Travis Kelce. They have always had both versions where you could listen to it or watch it on YouTube. I bring this podcast up specifically because I am personally a fan of their podcast and I remember when they had Taylor Swift as a special guest this past August. They had announced her newest album on that episode. Then, because it was something being recorded visually they were able to present what the album cover would look like right then and there. I love podcasts especially as they have evolved to where there is such a large variety of types of podcasts but also now a variety of ways to stream them.
I am not a big podcast listener but I do have a few that I will listen to once in a while. As I mentioned previously I am a big fan of New Heights Podcast by Travis and Jason Kelce. I also have recently been loving The Mel Robbins Podcast. Her thoughts and information have been so intriguing to listen to. I first saw her on TikTok explaining the "Let Them Theory". This is basically a theory that encourages to just let people do what they want and to not waste energy on trying to control people or people's actions. After watching that short clip on TikTok I was immediately interested and wanted to listen to more. So, I have been listening to her full episodes in my spare time. I believe that having podcasts now be ones to watch on a screen are beneficial when it comes to advertising them. Especially now that TikTok is so popular it is easy to just post short clips or teasers of an upcoming episode of that podcast on TikTok or Instagram to get people excited about it. I know the Call Her Daddy Podcast by Alex Cooper is known for doing interesting teaser videos with hints of who she will have on her next episode because she typically has very high profile and popular guests. It is a great marketing tactic that has especially become common in the past years. Podcasts are such a great source of entertainment no matter what genre and with the variety of them there are so many options and ways to connect with people! If you listen to podcasts do you have a favorite?

I liked how you pointed out that podcasts can now be both listened to and watched, especially with examples like New Heights and social media clips. The way you connected TikTok teasers to marketing made a lot of sense and shows how podcasts are evolving. I also thought it was interesting how one short clip led you to explore a full podcast episode. Your post really showed how accessible and engaging podcasts have become.
